Learning Communities

“The Learning Community model allows for the balance of individual and collaborative spaces to shift rapidly, depending on the needs of each learner and the context of the learning.”
Teachers tend to develop teaching styles that work best for them and their students. There is no single, perfect pedagogy. As student learning styles vary, the need for space varies as well. Schools increasingly require learning spaces that provide flexibility in arrangements, furniture, equipment and size. Designing schools based upon a learning community model provides the variety of learning spaces required to meet the needs of students and educators.
